The Anonymising Guest Data setting can be found on Page 5 of the event setup process within the Curator Live platform.
When enabled, this feature ensures that any email address or phone number a guest enters for the purpose of receiving their photo or video (via text or email) is automatically deleted from the Curator Live database shortly after the media is sent.
This means while guests can still receive their media through the sharing methods you offer, their personal contact information is not retained by Curator Live for that specific event.
This feature is designed for events or clients with strict privacy, GDPR, or data protection requirements. It helps reduce the risk of storing personally identifiable information (PII) when it's not necessary for your event follow-up or analytics.
β Pros:
Helps comply with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Reduces liability by not storing guest contact info.
Reassures privacy-conscious clients and guests.
β οΈ Cons:
You will not be able to re-send media if a guest loses their delivery message.
Guest data will not be available for post-event analytics, follow-ups, or marketing exports.
All contact information is deleted per event, so there's no historical record of guest sharing details.
