🚀 What's New in Curator Live 1.1.47
This is one of our biggest releases ever. Direct USB Printing leads the way — but there's a lot more packed in. Here's the good stuff.
🔌 Direct USB Printing — an Industry First
Print straight from your iPad to your DNP or Citizen printer over a single USB cable. No computer. No print server. No network. Just plug in and print.
Compatibility: Direct USB Printing is supported on any iPad with an Apple M-series chip running iPadOS 16 or later.
We believe this is the first time any photo booth app has made this possible — and it changes what it takes to run a booth.
Zero configuration — your event settings automatically tell the printer exactly what to do.
Every print size supported — your print sizes work right out of the box.
Compatible with DNP and Citizen DS-series printers you already own.
Multiple copies, back-to-back — batch printing is handled natively by the printer.
USB hub friendly — keep your iPad charging and a DSLR connected while printing.
To turn it on: Open iPad Settings → Curator Live → Drivers and enable the Direct USB Printing toggle. Then simply connect your printer to your iPad with a USB cable. That's it—printing happens automatically from your event.
✨ More big upgrades in 1.1.47
🚪 Close Booth Mode
Wrap up gracefully. Set a custom closure message, show guests a clean "we're closed" screen instead of a frozen booth, and let it pick right back up when your next event begins.
🙌 Hands-free Gesture Start
Guests can begin a session just by holding a pose — no tapping required. A more magical, touchless experience that's perfect for busy events.
🎨 Smarter AI & Custom FX delivery
AI experiences deliver more reliably, with cleaner shareable links and easy re-sharing from the gallery and sharing station.
🎤 DSLR Audio Guestbook & GoPro
Capture heartfelt audio-guestbook messages through a DSLR and lapel mic, and connect GoPro cameras wirelessly for fresh capture angles. This feature was already in the app but we have dialed in the bluetooth mics as well as being able to use audio from a DSLR camera.
⚙️ Under the hood
We've made Curator Live faster and steadier across the board. Photos now reach your guests the moment they finish entering their details — no waiting on the rest of the group. The booth recovers gracefully from hiccups, holds up through long event days, and simply loses less. We won't list every fix here — but you'll feel them.
More updates are already on the way. Questions or feedback? Our team is just one message away.
