Connect OrcaVue 360 and GlamBot Systems with Curator Live

Bluetooth connection for the OrcaVue 360 as well as GlamBot

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Curator Live is built to integrate seamlessly with popular third-party hardware—including 360 platforms and robotic camera arms like those from OrcaVue. Whether you're working with their 360 Photo Booth or the GlamBot, connecting these devices via Bluetooth lets you trigger movement, control speed, and start or stop the experience—all directly through the Curator app.

What is OrcaVue?

OrcaVue (spelled Orca + Vue) is manufacture of the 360 and GlamBots. Their hardware includes:

  • OrcaVue 360 Platforms: Motorized spinning bases for dynamic 360-degree video capture.

  • GlamBot Systems: Robotic camera arms that provide cinematic, red-carpet-style slow-motion effects.

Both devices are Bluetooth-enabled and easily connect to your iPad running the Curator Live app.

How to Connect Your OrcaVue Device in Curator Live

  1. Power on your OrcaVue 360 or GlamBot device.

  2. Open the Curator Live app on your iPad.

  3. Go to the Bluetooth Settings within the app.

  4. Tap on the OrcaVue option at the bottom of the Bluetooth list.

  5. From there, scan for available OrcaVue devices.

  6. Once your device appears, tap to connect.

You do not need to pair the device through the iPad’s native Bluetooth settings—everything is handled directly inside the Curator Live app.

Control Options After Connecting

Once your OrcaVue device is connected in the app, you can:

  • Start and stop the 360 platform or GlamBot arm

  • Adjust rotation speed for the 360 experience

  • Sync movement with the photo or video capture process

This direct integration ensures a streamlined setup and consistent results for your events.

Tips for a Smooth Setup

  • Make sure your OrcaVue hardware is fully powered and in Bluetooth mode.

  • If your device doesn’t show up right away, rescan from within the Curator Live app.

  • Test your movement and triggers before guests arrive to ensure flawless operation.
