Why the Curator Live App Won’t Update—and How to Fix It

If the App Store won’t let you install the latest Curator Live release, your iPad is almost always running an outdated version of iOS.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Minimum requirements

  • Device: Any iPad capable of running iOS 16 or later

  • OS: We currently recommend updating to iOS 18.4 (or the newest version available for your model)

When your iPad is still on iOS 15 (or earlier), the App Store hides updates that require a newer operating system. As a result, Curator Live appears “stuck” on an old version even though a newer app build exists.

How to resolve the issue

  1. Check your iOS version

    • Go to Settings ▸ General ▸ About ▸ iPadOS Version.

    • If you see anything below 16.x, proceed to Step 2.

  2. Update iOS first

    • Navigate to Settings ▸ General ▸ Software Update and install the latest update your iPad supports

    • Keep the device plugged in and on Wi-Fi until the update completes.

  3. Refresh the Curator Live app

    • Open the App Store, search for Curator Live, and tap Update.

    • If Update isn’t available or the app still behaves oddly, delete Curator Live entirely and perform a clean install.

  4. Clear your queue after major iOS changes

    • Launch Curator Live ► Settings ▸ Queue Management ▸ Delete All Pending.

    • This prevents mismatched file formats from older iOS builds from blocking new uploads.
