Guided Access Mode is an iPad setting that allows an operator to lock the device to a specific app so that users will be unable to leave the app that it is set to.
How to Enable Guided Access for the Device
On the home screen, find the Settings app and tap to open it. You may need to swipe left and right on the home screen if you have multiple pages of apps.
After opening Settings, midway down the left side is a button labeled “Accessibility”. Tap to open the Accessibility menu on the right side.
In the Accessibility menu, scroll down until you find the “General” section, and tap the “Guided Access” button beneath it.
In the Guided Access menu, toggle the Guided Access switch at the top to activate it and reveal more settings.
Tap the Passcode Settings button below to set a passcode for Guided Access.
Make sure Display Auto-Lock is set to Never
How to ENABLE Guided Access while in the App
From within the App
Option 1 : If you do not have a home button and do have access to the top power button on your device, triple click it to enable.
Option 2 : If your device has a physical home button and can access it, triple click the home button to enable
Option 3 : If you have enabled the Assistive Touch button...
Tap on the button...
Tap Device...
Tap More...
Tap Guided Access..
If Guided Access doesn't enable automatically, Tap Start in the Top Right Corner
How to DISABLE Guided Access while in the App
From within the App
Option 1 : If your device does not have a home button, and you do have access to the top power button on your device, triple click it to disable.
Option 2 : If your device has a physical home button and you can access it, triple click the home button to disable
