Using the Marketing Feature for SMS Campaigns

πŸ”§ Requirements for Using Marketing

Before you can use the Marketing feature, please ensure the following setup is complete:

βœ… 1. Twilio Account Integration

You must have your own Twilio account connected to your Curator account. This is how your messages are sent.

  • We do not charge per messageβ€”you’ll be billed directly through Twilio for any SMS usage.

  • It is the account holder's responsibility to create, manage, and configure their own Twilio account.

  • You will choose the Twilio number you'd like to send from during campaign setup.

βœ… 2. Vanity URL Setup

To use Marketing, you must:

  • Have a vanity URL configured in your account.

  • Have used that vanity URL with the event you plan to send messages to.

This ensures that recipients recognize your brand and messaging is compliant.


πŸ“² Creating an SMS Campaign

Once your Twilio and Vanity URL setup is complete, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Marketing tab in your dashboard.

  2. Create a new campaign by selecting:

    • The Twilio number you wish to use.

    • The event you want to send messages for.

  3. Compose your message to be sent to everyone who entered a phone number during that event.

  4. (Optional) Insert a dynamic snippet that will auto-populate the last photo sent to each guest.
    This is a great way to remind recipients of the experience and connect the message to something personal.

  5. Choose to:

    • Send now (instantly).

    • Schedule the SMS to go out at a specific time.


πŸ“’ Important Notes

  • All messages sent through Marketing are one-way (no replies allowed).

  • Every message should include:
    ​"Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data rates may apply."

  • Including an image or reference to the guest’s photo enhances recognition and engagement.

You hosted a 360 photo booth at an event and want to send a follow-up message with a discount or a thank you. With the Marketing tool:

  • You select the event tied to your Vanity URL.

  • Choose your Twilio number.

  • Compose your message and include the dynamic photo snippet.

  • Schedule it to go out the next morning when guests are more likely to engage.

It’s fast, simple, and ensures your brand remains top-of-mind.
