How to use Curator Overlay Templates

Overlay Templates

Updated today

Overlay (single-photo use): a transparent frame or design placed on top of a photo or video.

Add an Overlay to Your Experience

  1. Open the Overlay gallery

    • Go to Page 4 → Assets.

    • Find the Overlay asset section and click SELECT.

    • The Curator Overlay Gallery will open.

2. Choose a design

  • Browse the gallery and select an overlay you like.

  • Click DUPLICATE to make an editable copy for your event.

3. Edit the overlay

  • The Curator Image Editor opens automatically.

  • You can edit all elements:

    • Text (headlines, captions, dates)

    • Font style/size and colors

    • Positions and layers

    • Remove any elements you don’t need

4. Save

  • Click SAVE (bottom-right).

  • The overlay is added to your current experience and saved in Assets for future reuse.

Quick Tips

  • Best format: Use transparent PNG for clean edges.

  • Match sizes: Keep overlay dimensions and aspect ratio consistent with your event’s photo size (e.g., 1080×1920 vertical).

  • Name clearly: Rename overlays (e.g., “Fall Festival 4×6 Frame”) so they’re easy to find later.

  • Reuse: Since it’s saved in Assets, you can apply the same overlay to future events with a click.

  • Safe edits: Duplicating the layout protects the original template you created.
