How to Set Up AI-FX (Nano Banana)

Turn any photo into a stunning, AI-generated creation using Curator Live’s AI-FX system powered by Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro.

Updated over a week ago

Guests select their desired AI experience directly from the iPad, take a photo, and receive a beautifully rendered AI image via text, email, QR code, or print.

Important Notes

Credit Costs

AI-FX uses a credit-based billing system. This price fluctuates so view your TOOLS page for credit pricing.

Performance Expectations

  • Average render time: ~7 seconds (varies with upload speed).

  • Most delay comes from uploading the original photo for processing.

  • Works on any supported iPad, iPhone, or Mac device that runs the Curator Live Video Photo Booth app.

  • AI-FX currently generates still images only, not animations.

Limitations & Best Practices

  • Groups larger than 8 may produce inconsistent results on Nano Banana Standard.
Nano Banana Pro is recommended for multi-person scenes.

  • Avoid extremely low-light photos — clarity improves AI likeness and accuracy.

  • Ensure subjects are fully visible in-frame.

  • Select an appropriate final output size (4×6, 6×4, square, etc.).

  • For custom prompts, always test before going live.

Delivery & Printing

  • Guests receive the final AI image via SMS, email, QR code, or microsite.

  • To print AI images:

    • Enable Cloud Import to sync images back to the iPad, OR

    • Use the Curator Print Server for instant printing.

Best Practices

  • Good lighting = better likeness and better results.

  • Keep prompts within categories to improve organization.

Troubleshooting

  • AI images not appearing?
Make sure Cloud Import is enabled.

  • Slow rendering?
Check your upload speed — it affects processing times more than the AI model.

  • Distorted faces in groups?
    Use Nano Banana Pro.

  • Weird results?
    Adjust or simplify your prompt.

  • Preview image looks off?
    Upload a sharper, clearer preview.
