After creating and testing your event, you can activate it by purchasing an event license from the dashboard.
⭐ We recommend fully testing your event before activation.
Step 1: Find Your Event
Go to the dashboard on the Curator Live website and click the PURCHASE button next to your event.
Step 2: Choose Your Event License
Choose the license that best fits your event needs.
Standard - Choose this for basic photo booth experiences.
Event Pro - Choose this for AI FX, CustomFX, 360, and advanced sharing features.
Agency Pro - Choose this for photography, kiosk setups, and advanced event workflows.
ℹ️ For a full feature comparison, visit our Pricing page.
Step 3: Confirm Event Dates & Licenses
Confirm your event dates and choose how many licenses you need before completing checkout.
ℹ️ Each license supports one active device at a time. Add more if the event will run on multiple devices simultaneously.
⚠️ Events can be activated in advance and tested before the event date. Until the selected activation date begins, captured photos will display a “PRE-EVENT ACTIVATED” watermark.
💡 Single Event activations are valid for 3 days (ex. May 15-17). Additional days may incur extra fees.
⭐ Single Event activations are best for short-term events. For ongoing or frequent events, a monthly subscription may be a better option.
Step 4: Complete Payment
Enter your payment details and follow the checkout instructions to complete your purchase. If you have a promo code, you can enter it during checkout.
Pricing and currency may vary depending on your region and account settings.
Step 5: Redownload the Event
After payment, the event will appear as ACTIVE on the dashboard. Redownload the event on your device to sync activation and remove watermarks.

Step 6: Final Testing
Test the full capture and sharing experience before your event goes live.
We recommend:
taking a sample photo or video
testing SMS and email sharing
checking overlays and branding
confirming printing works correctly if enabled
🛠️ Quick Troubleshooting
Common issues can often be resolved by:
refreshing or redownloading the event after purchase
confirming the event dates are correct
