How to Activate a Single Event

Learn how to purchase a Single Event license, sync it to your device, and prepare your event for its scheduled start date.

After creating and testing your event, you can activate it by purchasing a Single Event license from the Curator Live dashboard.

⭐ We recommend fully testing your event before activation.

Step 1: Find Your Event

Go to the dashboard on the Curator Live website and click PURCHASE next to your event.

Step 2: Choose Your Event License

Choose the license that best fits your event needs.

Standard - Choose this for basic photo booth experiences.

Event Pro - Choose this for AI FX, CustomFX, 360, and advanced sharing features.

Agency Pro - Choose this for photography, kiosk setups, and advanced event workflows.

Step 3: Confirm Event Dates & Licenses

Confirm your event dates and choose how many licenses you need before completing checkout.

ℹ️ Each license supports one active device at a time. Add additional licenses if the event will run on multiple devices simultaneously.

💡 Single Event activations are valid for 3 days (e.g., May 15-17). Additional days will incur extra fees.

⭐ Single Event activations are best for short-term events. For ongoing or frequent events, a monthly subscription may be a better option.

⚠️ Events can be activated in advance and tested before the event start date. Until the event start date is reached, captured photos will display a “PRE-EVENT ACTIVATED” watermark.

Step 4: Complete Payment

Enter your payment details and follow the checkout instructions to complete your purchase. If you have a promo code, you can enter it during checkout.

Step 5: Sync the Event

After payment, the event will appear as ACTIVE on the dashboard. In the Curator Live app, Refresh the event if it is already downloaded, or Download to this device if it has not been downloaded yet.

⚠️ Event dates cannot be changed after purchase. If you selected the wrong dates, contact support via chat for assistance.

Step 6: Test Your Event

After syncing your event, run a quick test to confirm your activation and final event setup are working correctly.

We recommend:

  • Take a sample photo or video.

  • Test your enabled sharing methods.

  • Check overlays and branding.

  • Confirm printing works correctly, if enabled.

For a complete testing checklist, see How to Test an Event in the Curator Live App.
