This mode allows Curator to automatically enter Single App Mode when an event starts, and exit Single App Mode when the event ends—simply by entering the admin passcode on the iPad or iPhone.
This makes it easy to access device settings—like switching Wi-Fi networks or performing other tasks—without needing to manually lock or unlock the app between uses.
Requirements
To enable this feature, you’ll need:
The latest version of the Curator app
A compatible third-party Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution
Most MDMs are not free but are generally affordable, with pricing around $2–$3 per device per month. You’ll also need to add the Curator bundle identifier, which we can provide via our in-app support chat.
Note
When evaluating an MDM provider, ensure they support Autonomous Single App Mode (ASAM).
We’ve tested SimpleMDM, which worked well in our experience. Another widely-used option is Jamf.
