🚁 Connecting the 360 Drone Booth to Curator Live App

Connecting the 360 Drone Booth by 360 drone booth to Curator

Updated over 10 months ago

Take your 360 experience to the next level with our integration with Picture Mosaics, allowing a drone to act as a 360 camera. The drone captures stunning fly-around videos, and Curator applies custom effects and delivers the final video to your guests via our Sharing Station.

💡 Twist: This setup allows for fully automated video capture, branding, and delivery—all with a drone!

✅ What You’ll Need

  • 1 iPad running the Curator Live app

  • 1 Android tablet running the 360 Drone Booth app from Picture Mosaics

  • A shared Wi-Fi network (both devices must be on the same network)

  • A Drone Stream Address (provided by the Picture Mosaics app)

🔒 Note: The iPad must have Private Wi-Fi Address disabled to communicate with the drone app.

📲 Step 1: Disable Private Wi-Fi Address (iPad Only)

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPad

  2. Tap Wi-Fi, then tap the name of your connected network

  3. Toggle Private Wi-Fi Address to OFF

This allows the Curator app to properly detect and communicate with the Android tablet running the drone app.

🔗 Step 2: Connect the Drone Booth to Curator

  1. Open the Curator Live app on your iPad

  2. Select Live Connect

  3. Tap Devices in the top-right

  4. Enter the Drone Stream Address provided by the Picture Mosaics app

  5. Toggle the switch to ON (green)

When connected successfully, you’ll see a device labeled "custom" listed.

✨ What Happens Next?

Once connected:

  • The drone captures a video of your guest

  • Curator receives the video in real-time

  • Your Custom Effects Timeline is applied automatically

  • Guests can receive their video instantly via text, email, or QR code

⚠️ Support Info
