APP - How to Download and Start Your Event After Purchase

Learn how to sync your purchased event and start it in the Curator Live app.

After purchasing an event or subscription, or after making changes to an event, refresh or download the event in the Curator Live app to sync the latest activation status and updates.

ℹ️ The video below was recorded using an older app version. Some layouts or features may appear different in the current app, but the overall process remains the same. Updated screenshots are provided below.


Steps to Activate Your Event

Follow these steps to sync your purchased event's activation and start using it.

1. Open the Curator Live app and find your event

Launch the Curator Live app and locate your purchased event in the My Events list.


2. Sync your activation

Depending on your event's current status:

a. If the event is already downloaded

Tap Refresh to sync the latest activation status and remove DEMO watermarks.

b. If the event has not been downloaded yet

Tap Download to this device. The event will be downloaded with the latest activation status.

💡 If you made changes in the Event Form after downloading your event, tap Refresh before starting to sync the latest changes.


3. Tap Play to start your event

Once your event has been synced, tap Play to launch it.

ℹ️ DEMO Watermark

If the event is not redownloaded after purchase, captured photos will continue displaying a DEMO watermark until the event activation is updated on the device.

What to do: Redownload the event to sync activation.

ℹ️ Pre-Event Activated

PRE-EVENT ACTIVATED” means the event has been successfully downloaded and is ready for its scheduled start date.

✅ Event Active

Once the event start date is reached, newly captured photos will no longer contain watermarks.

⚠️ Incorrect Start Date

An incorrect event start date will cause watermarks to persist.

What to do: Contact support via chat to adjust the dates, then redownload the event to remove the watermark.


Common Watermark Issues

Common causes

  • Incorrect event dates.

  • An outdated app version.

  • The event has not been refreshed or downloaded after purchase.

🛠️ Common fixes

  • Verify the event dates.

  • Update the Curator Live app.

  • Refresh or redownload the event and allow the download to finish completely.

⚠️ Watermarks cannot be removed from photos captured before the issue is resolved.


Important Notes

  • Changes made online require the event to be redownloaded in the app.

  • Always confirm the event downloads successfully before starting the booth.

  • If watermark issues continue after troubleshooting, contact support via chat for assistance.
