Learn how to create, customize, and test your first Curator Live event. This guide covers the basic setup process to help you get your event ready quickly and confidently.

Welcome to Curator Live!

This guide will help you create and launch your first event in just a few minutes.

Perfect for:

  • photo booths

  • live events

  • brand activations

  • AI experiences

🕒 Estimated setup time: 5–10 minutes

What You’ll Need

Before getting started, make sure you have:

  • a Curator Live account

  • a desktop or laptop (recommended for easier event setup and management)

  • an iPhone, iPad, or Mac Mini

  • internet connection

Optional:

  • your event assets (overlays, branding, backgrounds, etc.)

  • AI prompts

  • printer

Step 1: Create Your Event

  1. Log in to your Curator Live account or register for one.

  2. From the dashboard, click CREATE EVENT.

  3. Choose a Pre-built Event Template or Create a Blank Event.

  4. Enter a name for your event.

  5. Click Start.

Once created, you’ll be taken to the Event Form where you can customize event details, experiences, sharing, branding, and more.

Tip: If you use a pre-built event template, you can start testing right away by simply updating the event name and dates. You can still customize the template later at any time.

Step 2: Customize Your Event

The Event Form is divided into the following sections:

  • Page 1: event details and device setup

  • Page 2: attract screens

  • Page 3: photo, video, and AI experiences

  • Page 4: overlays, props, and backgrounds

• Page 5: sharing options

  • Page 6: microsite and branding

Recommended Setup

For the best experience, we recommend:

  • confirming your event dates are correct

  • matching screens to your device orientation

  • adding at least one experience on Page 3

  • adding buttons if using multiple experiences

  • matching overlays and backgrounds to your photo dimensions

  • enabling SMS and Email sharing for digital events

  • testing the full event flow before going live

Step 3: Download & Test

Before your event goes live:

  • install the Curator Live app on your iOS device or Mac Mini and allow all requested permissions when prompted

  • download the event

  • launch the event and test the full guest experience

  • capture a sample photo

  • send a sample email or text

  • confirm overlays and AI prompts are working properly

Tip: If you'd like to make changes to your event after testing, update them in the Event Form, then redownload the event in the app to apply the changes.

Note: If you're already inside the event, double-tap the top-right corner and tap REFRESH EVENT to download the latest changes.
