DNP WCM Setup Instructions

Connecting Your DNP WCM Module with Curator Live for Seamless Printing, Text, and Email.

Updated over a week ago

This video demonstrates how to configure your WCM module to print, text, and email simultaneously. It also covers connecting your printers and configuring the setup.

WCM Plus is a powerful tool for managing photo printing formats like 4x6 and 6x2x2 photo strips, but users may encounter challenges during configuration or while ensuring continuous printing. This guide covers essential steps to configure the WCM Plus properly and troubleshoot common issues to achieve optimal performance.

Configuring the WCM Plus for Photo Strip Printing

To avoid configuration issues and ensure that 4x6 or 6x2x2 photo printing formats function as intended, follow these steps:

  1. Log In to WCM Plus from Your Device: Access the WCM Plus portal using your iPad or iPhone that will run the Curator Live app.

  2. Adjust Printing Settings:

    • Enable the 6x2x2 photo strip printing option in the WCM settings.

    • Ensure that both the 4x6 and 6x2x2 options are selected. This will allow you to choose your desired format in the app later.

  3. Save Your Settings: Watch for the "Save" button (typically located at the bottom right corner of the screen) after making changes to the configuration. Without saving, your changes may not apply. For detailed instructions, refer to the official DNP WCM Setup Instructions.

Wi-Fi Connection

Allows a connection to a local Wi-Fi network for internet access when your device is connected to the Hotspot. It also makes IPP (AirPrint) possible for all devices connected to the same network.

Ensuring Stable Network Connectivity for the WCM Plus

Beyond configuration, stable network connectivity is critical for the WCM Plus to work effectively. Here are recommendations to avoid interruptions caused by network jumps:

  • Prevent Network Switching on Your iPad:

    • Ensure that your iPad is connected to the intended network.

    • Go to your iPad's network settings and "Forget" all other saved network profiles to prevent automatic switching.

  • Maintain Continuous Connection: Make sure that your iPad does not attempt to connect to alternative networks when moving around or if the primary network experiences interruptions. By implementing these measures, you can minimize disruptions in printing caused by connectivity issues.

The pull-down under Wi-Fi will display the available local networks. Select the desired network, enter the password for that network, and tap Join. Once the connection has been established the IP address will be displayed for the Wi-Fi network.

ATTENTION: Wi-Fi networks that do not have a password, but require an agreement page cannot be used with the WCM.
